About Algo School

We believe education technology should measure understanding, not just completion.

Our Mission

Education systems worldwide are struggling with a measurement problem. We track lesson completion, attendance, and test scores—but these metrics don't tell us whether students truly understand the material.

Algo School exists to close this gap.

We're building a learning intelligence platform that measures what matters: concept-level understanding, identifies why students struggle (not just that they do), and ensures knowledge is retained long after the test.

Traditional systems track completion. We track understanding.

Why Concepts, Not Lessons

Lessons Are Delivery

A lesson is how you teach. A concept is what students actually learn. Organizing knowledge around concepts reveals the true structure of understanding.

Concepts Connect

The same concept appears across subjects and grades. "Addition" in first grade connects to "Addition of Fractions" in fourth grade. Lessons don't show this; knowledge graphs do.

Gaps Are Visible

When a student struggles, tracing back through concept prerequisites reveals the root cause—not just the symptom. That's the foundation of effective intervention.

Our Approach

Research-Backed

Every feature is grounded in learning science: Bloom's Taxonomy, spaced repetition, Bayesian Knowledge Tracing. Not buzzwords—actual research.

Teacher-Centered

We build tools that respect teacher expertise. AI makes suggestions; teachers make decisions. The technology serves the educator, not the other way around.

Outcome-Focused

We care about learning outcomes: understanding, retention, skill development. Engagement metrics are secondary to actual mastery.

Privacy-Conscious

Student data deserves protection. We follow privacy best practices and don't monetize student information. Data is for improving learning, nothing else.

Continuously Improving

The system learns from every interaction—which questions work, which explanations resonate, which students need what support. It gets smarter over time.

Honest Assessment

We show confidence levels and limitations. When data is sparse, we say so. No false precision, no overconfident recommendations.

A Note on Privacy

We take student privacy seriously. Educational data exists to improve learning—nothing else. We follow industry best practices for data protection, don't sell or monetize student information, and give schools control over their data. Full privacy policy and data handling details are available upon request.
